The project „Queers ahead!“ aims, to enable queer youth and voluntary work, to strengthen young queer people during the transition between education and work and to assert themself in their changing life.
The central question of the project is: How can we prepare our youngsters for the transition and the upcoming changes in the work environment better?
The project is based on methods of informal learning and draws on a wide variety of elements, such as role-playing, barometer, learning collages and clusters, as well as talks with experts and people with similar experiences. The participants will improve their employability as well as their foreign language skills, while at the same time being offered new ways of thinking. They will be introduced to the idea of "learning to learn", feel more as citizens of Europe, share European values and will have experienced them through the exchange itself. In particular, the participants will deepen their knowledge on gender
issues and identities, with the focus on strengthening oneself in relation to their own environment.
