Protecting Human Rights through Policing Hate Crime against LGBTI persons in Bulgaria
The Council of Europe Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Unit, in cooperation with the organization for the rights and the social inclusion of LGBTI persons (Deystvie) and Bulgarian Authorities, will host the online event “Protecting Human Rights through Policing Hate Crime against LGBTI persons in Bulgaria” on 10th of December at 09.00 – 10.30 am (CET).
The event – held on this particular date to mark International Human Rights Day – will serve as an occasion to launch the Bulgarian version of the training manual ‘Policing Hate Crime against LGBTI Persons: Training for a professional Police response’. The discussion will feature significant contributions from the civil society and governmental representatives.
The event will be opened by:
Milena Ivanova, Head of Human Rights Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria
Irena Guidikova, Head of Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination Programmes Division, Council of Europe
And moderated by:
Veneta Limberova, Chair of Deystvie Association
