We at Youth LGBT Organization Deystvie believe in democracy and the ability to change the status quo. Systemic societal problems negatively affect our lives, too: we also experience lack of justice, an unreliable legal system, an ineffective administration, corruption and lack of policies which put the people first. This government has not solved a single problem our community has. On top of that, we are regularly attacked by the coalition in the government, thus distracting the public from problematic events and processes. Instead of defending us, the government convinces people that we are scary and are looking for special rights. In reality, we are looking for equality, freedom and democracy – just like all other Bulgarian citizens. That is why today we are on the square, asking for a #RESIGNATION.
