On May 14th LGBT Deystvie organized a presentation of the new book "The Courage to be a Parent" and a discussion with the LGBTI community in Burgas.
The book is a collection of personal stories of parents who share their own and deeply personal encounters with their children's identity disclosure. Thanks to them, we in turn encounter the experience of what it is like to be a parent whose child is coming out as LGBTI.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to receive a copy of the book and hear the personal story of a parent of an LGBTI child and to ask their questions about when and how it is appropriate for a person from the community to come out to their loved ones.
